Managing Director: Jen Abrams

Jen Abrams began working as an arts administrator in Chicago in 1994, where she was Administrative Manager of Guild Complex, a literary-based multicultural multi-arts organization. After arriving in New York in 1999, she served first as Managing Director of A Gathering of the Tribes, then as Poetry in The Branches Coordinator at Poets House, where she trained librarians to bring poetry to their patrons and helped develop the program into a replicable model. She joined Risa Jaroslow & Dancers in 2003. Since 1995, she has also served as consultant to small arts organizations, working on strategic planning, fundraising, board development, and human resource issues. Jen is also a choreographer, writer, and teacher of Contact Improvisation. She performs regularly at downtown venues, and makes her artistic home at WOW Café Theater.
